Data processing filter settings

Navis 2 program has a possibility of statistical processing of geoinformational data. Mathematically based algorithms are called data filters. There are following filters:

 

To adjust data processing filters choose Configuration>Stop overs filter/No-data filter/Cluster of points filter from the main menu.

Stop overs filter

Stops over filter is used to identify the location and time of the stop overs and parking of a vehicle by analyzing the complex of points received from device. There is a predefined stop overs filter (Standard filter), its settings cannot be changed. The user can make his own filter (with new settings) using context menu. Click with the right mouse button on the filters list and choose the Add option from the context menu. Enter the following information to the dialog box:

  • Filter name
  • Minimum stop overs time, min
  • Maximum stop overs time, min
  • Minimum speed, km/h

No-data filter

No-data filter is used to identify gaps occurred due to different failures of positions identification devices. To create a new filter point out the following parameters:

  • Filter name
  • Minimum gap distance, km
  • Maximum gap distance, km
  • Minimum speed, km/h

Cluster of points filter

Cluster of points filter is used to identify and delete positions dispersion occurred due to the probabilistic nature of algorithms of satellite systems designed for location spotting. There is a predefined cluster of points filter in the system, its settings cannot be changed. A new filter with necessary settings of cluster of point deleting can be created by user. It is possible to define necessary filters which would change the input data correspondingly when displaying tracks, creating reports etc. To create a new filter point out the following parameters:

  • Filter name
  • Minimum number of points in the cluster
  • Cluster of points radius, m
  • Method for searching of joining point
